GM builds new 1955 Chevy, introduces 'green' crate motors

General Motors built this mean 1955 Chevrolet 210 hot rod to show off its new "green" LS3 crate motor at SEMA in 2009. Called "E-Rod" by General Motors the engine is just the first of a complete line up of new green V-8s that meets California's tough smog regulations. The Chevy 210 was customized with Bel AIr trim, special two tone green and white paint. This beautiful Chevrolet rides on new Camaro wheels.

The new crate engine is a 6.2 liter V-8 that makes a muscular 430 horsepower. The E-Rod engine has a price tag of $9,375.
