1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad

Even the station wagon couldn't escape the attention of Chevrolet stylists in the 1950s. They borrowed a roof design from a 1954 Motorama show car, opened up the rear wheel wells, striped the tailgate in chrome and created the Nomad. A part of the top ranked Bel Air series, the Nomad featured its own side trim and waffle pattern upholstery. The Nomad cost $309.00 more than a four door Bel Air wagon. Only 8386 Nomads were made.
