1955 Chevrolet Gasser Drag Race Car


This 1955 Chevrolet Gasser Drag Race Car was recently for sale. This 1955 Chevy has a custom green and white psychedelic pearl paint job and a black interior. The engine is a large journal 327 with a steel crank. It has a 14.87 to 1 compression, crane solid roller cam, factory #462 cylinder heads have been highly modified & ported with 2.05 intake 1.60 exhaust valves with custom angle plugs. A Hilborn injection with Mallory Magneto was used. The transmission is a muncie M20 4-speed with inline Hurst shifter. The rear is a 57 Oldsmobile w/spool & 5:83 gear. This 1955 gasser is completely original to its build in 1971-72 with original paint, interior, drivetrain & all the race parts. Front frame & suspension has been changed to straight axle & disc brakes.

Beautiful custom Belair Station Wagon. Equipped with a 502 crate big block engine, two Edelbrock four barrel Carbs, Edelbrock performer intake that develops 600 Horsepower. Other features include custom headers with cross over pipe, flow master mufflers, M-S-D ignition, aluminum polished distributor, billet serpentine belt system, Be Cool Aluminum Radiator, dual electric electric fans, chrome tilt steering wheel, chrome brackets, chrome alternator, chrome A/C compressor, power steering, new gas tank, 10 bolt rear end and the transmission is a 700-R4 over drive transmission with a 2500 stall converter.


Other features are a power sunroof, Dakota digital dash, 2900 watt amp, 17 inch Custom Chrome Wheels and Goodyear radial tires, body off restoration, black and orange interior and a custom real flame paint job.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad


Even the station wagon couldn't escape the attention of Chevrolet stylists in the 1950s. They borrowed a roof design from a 1954 Motorama show car, opened up the rear wheel wells, striped the tailgate in chrome and created the Nomad. A part of the top ranked Bel Air series, the Nomad featured its own side trim and waffle pattern upholstery. The Nomad cost $309.00 more than a four door Bel Air wagon. Only 8386 Nomads were made.
