Killer Classic Chevy Cars has just stumbled upon an interesting source for that
1955 Chevrolet Convertible you always wanted to restore. The source is in Mexico via a recent eBay listing.
This 55 Chevy and the other cars around it all appear to be in a storage building. Next to the 55 Chevy for sale on eBay is yet another 55 Convertible. According to the the eBay listing it is for sale also.
Mexico has a very dry climate and these classic cars may be fairly rust free. With the price of an unrestored 1955, 1956 and 1957 Convertible going for $15,000 to $20,000 or more these days it may be time to take a look south of the border.
As you can see from the images on this post both 55 Chevrolet Convertibles appeared to have stored with the top and windows up. The top may have just dry rotted away.
