1955 Chevy Nomad

This 1955 Chevy Nomad has a Newman C-4 Corvette chassis featuring four wheel disc brakes, tubular upper and lower control arms, independent rear suspension mounted on a laser straight body. Power comes from a new 355 V-8 crate motor managed by a MAD electronic ignition with a F.A.S.T. self programming fuel injection system, atop an Mandelbrot intake. A Billet Specialties serpentine front runner system was employed to house the accessories including power steering and Vintage A/C. You will also find stainless headers, Billet polished valve covers and air cleaner.

A 700-R automatic overdrive transmission delivers the power to a Corvette rear end via a custom drive shaft, surrounded by stainless steel exhaust.

The immaculate leather interior is hand stitched throughout the car including the custom bucket seats, hand formed door panels, center arm rest, and dash pad. 18 inch polished Bud nick custom wheels mounted with P255/45ZR18 BF G-Force high performance radials all around.

Street and Performance fuel injection 510 h.p. 550 ft.-lbs. torque. Lots of chrome in the highly customized engine compartment. REF custom headers, Flow master mufflers, ceramic coated exhaust system, Ron Davis cross flow radiator. Drive train includes a 700R4 transmission, Inland Empire polished aluminum drive shaft, chromed Corvette independent rear end, rear mounting bolts are polished stainless steel with ‘Nomad’ engraved on head of bolts, polished Corvette A-arms, polished and chromed Alden coil-overs front and rear, Thunderbird rack and pinion steering, Precision 4 wheel power disc brakes, 14 inch rotors / calipers are polished aluminum, custom Progressive Chassis, bottom of car is highly detailed Rock Valley stainless steel gas tank. Custom Wheels are Budnik Fontana Fat Lips 18x8 front 20x10 rear. Tires are BF Goodrich G-Force TA 245x40 ZR 18 front, 275x35 ZR 20 rear.

Exterior paint is House of Kolor custom Kandy Purple mix. Top has been chopped 1 1/2 inch, vent window removed, custom made tinted side curved glass, hydraulic reversed opening hood, hood smoothed and pancaked 1 1/2 inch, parking lights molded into body, custom shaped front bumper, hand crafted side spears, shaved door handles, doors open electronically, gas filler relocated in rear taillight, opens electronically, tailgate hinges removed and are hidden, rear tailgate opens electronically, rear bumperettes hand fabricated from a 1950 Chevy.

Interior has Lexus 8-way buckets in the front, fiberglass formed rear buckets, covered in Chamois Ultra leather, custom door panels and floating center console, Budnik Famosa steering wheel, ididit steering column, Mercedes wool Palomino carpet. Vintage Air vents in front and rear compartments, dual Optima batteries. Smoothed Dash, left eyebrow has custom instruments, right eyebrow has carbon fiber and lights up with Nomad insignia. Stereo - Alpine MP3 player, Audiovox DVD player, MTX amps, JL Audio 5x5 1/4 inch and 6x9 inch speakers. $300,000.00 invested in this 1955 Chevy Nomad.

1955 NomadNational Show Winning 1955 Chevrolet Nomad for sale in Ohio. This Nomad not only drives like a dream with its Air Ride Technologies suspension, Vintage Air climate control, big block power, comfy seats and power steering and brakes, it scored an unreal 996 out of 1000 points in the trailered class at the Classic Chevy International show in 2005!

The engine is a 396 cubic inch with a 700R4 transmission. Upgraded "605" power steering, Edelbrock intake and carb and more. Custom wheels are from Billet Specialties, 15 inch rims on the front and 17 inch rims on the rear.

The car's a total hit at local shows. People come up and are in awe of the workmanship and the style.

Stunning 1955 Chevrolet Nomad



This stunning 1955 Nomad went thru a total frame off restoration. The laser straight body was completely stripped and went thru a zink primer process. Paint is PPG brown with 8 coats of PPG clear. The interior is a beautiful brown and cream leather. The chassis has been updated with power steering and power disc brakes. Engine is a 355 cubic inch small block and small cam. 2 four's on this Nomad. AC and lots of chrome unter hood. 700 R4 automatic transmission and 12 bolt posi traction rear end, 355 gears. We like this Nomad.
