The series designations Styleline and Fleetline that was used by Chevrolet for many years was dropped in 1953. For 1953, Chevrolets with "Special" level features and trim were called One-Fifty or 1953 Chevy 150 models. 1953 Chevrolets with "Deluxe" level features and trim were now called Two-Ten or 1953 Chevy 210 models. The 1953 Chevy Bel Air designation, first introduced in 1950, was applied to a four car lineup for 1953. The 1953 Chevy Belaire is now identified as a level of trim instead of a particular body style.
