1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible Project Car For Sale In Illinois

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible Project CarYou are viewing a very special 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible project car. With a VIN of VC57T100548, this car is believed to be the first 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible to roll off the assembly line at the Tonawanda, NY assembly plant. In addition the body number on the cowl tag is L 72 making it the 72nd body built in Lansing, MI. It is believed by the owners that this Convertible was build by Chevrolet on the first day of the 1957 production year, which was October 1, 1956.

As you can see from the picture, when this car was purchased it was totally rotted out. The frame was still very solid and was rebuilt. The cowl also survived and was used to build the new body. A professional all original restoration was started but never completed as you can see in the picture below.1957 Chevrolet Bel Air ConvertibleAlmost every part that this car needs has been purchased. They are either new reproduction, used but in show condition, or restored original. The paint on this 57 is originally ADOBE BEIGE with COPPER interior. The interior materials have been purchased and are included with the car.

1958 Chevrolet Impala With 3 Duce's For Sale In Louisiana

1958 Chevrolet ImpalaThis is a rust free 1958 Chevrolet Impala painted Rio Red with matching numbers and three deuce's. The engine was completely rebuilt according to factory specifications and still has the correct dated block, heads, intake, exhaust manifolds and even the water pump. Unique to this 58 Impala is that it is an automatic with power steering, power brakes and a rare factory air that has been completely restored. The cast iron power-glide transmission was also rebuilt to factory specs. Frame off restoration with all chassis components power coated. Chassis was assembled with all new bushings, shocks and rubber. Stainless and chrome was either replaced or re-chromed. Complete stainless exhaust with polished tips was installed with all new brackets. Gas tank was replaced along with a new sending unit, and then was powder-coated. New Coker tires were installed with spinner hubcaps. Features include fender skirts, exhaust ports, Continental kit, dual antennas. Interior is new and correct including carpet and door panels. New windshield, rear window and all side and door glass has been replaced. Radio was rebuilt plus new rear & front speakers. Speedometer & gauges rebuilt, all wiring was replaced. If you are looking for a true and correct 1958 Impala done to perfection and with good taste, you will not find a finer one.
